Not your store-bought dip, this easy to prepare dip is made with fresh ingredients and comes together in all of about 5 minutes.
Rising trout at a high alpine lake that you spent all morning hiking into can make your lunch rushed or forgotten about entirely. Most anglers find it incredibly easy to spend hours, well into the afternoon fishing without breaking to refuel before the hike down.
This dip with a side of Triscuits and fresh vegetables is a healthy and refreshing option to keep me fishing longer and fueled until I get back to the car at the end of the day.
I do recommend a substantial breakfast when choosing to pack this dip on your day hike. I like to stop at my favorite breaky burrito joint that just so happens to be on the way to the trail head.
· Plain Greek yogurt
· Splash of lemon Juice
· Dash of salt & pepper
· Fresh dill
· Pinch of onion powder
· Bit of garlic powder
· Fresh sliced bread, Triscuit, or any of your favorite veggies
1. Add all of the ingredients together in small bowl, stir well and adjust seasoning to desired taste.
2. Serve on fresh baked bread, Triscuit, and with a side of veggies. I went for Triscuits, cucumbers, bell peppers and carrot sticks.
